About four years of iterating on one Obsidian setup, now with AI woven through it: I dictate, and my notes write and file themselves.
What it is
My Obsidian vault is where my days, projects, people and ideas live. Its structure mixes two systems: a PARA-like tree for active life and work, which I call UCMA, and a flat Zettelkasten folder where unsorted ideas wait until their place is clear.
The AI part
Most of the routine is automated now, including the note-taking itself. I dictate my thoughts, and they appear in my daily notes close to verbatim, minus the filler words; new notes and articles grow from them.
Agent skills do the recurring work: writing notes from my own words, the nightly pass over the day, weekly and monthly reviews, a morning briefing, researching and saving links, and keeping links and tags healthy. Five of the plugins are my own: Daily Intake, Moods, Astra Vault, JokerType and Public Vault.
The public version
A small exporter publishes the vault's structure and configuration as a vault anyone can open. The settings, templates, plugins, agent skills and guides are the real ones, and the notes are invented, so nothing private leaves. The same vault also publishes the garden, where my writing lives.
